SALES EXECUTIVE – CHICAGOLAND

Our client, an innovative leader in supply chain solutions and packaging, seeks a Sales Executive to drive revenue growth and develop custom packaging and supply chain solutions for customers locally and nationally. This role offers a hybrid work environment, with one day a week in the office located in Morton Grove, IL, focusing on the Chicagoland area and the broader Midwest region.

The Role:

The Sales Executive will be pivotal in expanding the company’s market reach and driving new customer acquisition. Following a recent acquisition, the company is well-capitalized and poised for aggressive growth. This role combines strategic vision, sales expertise, and operational acumen to navigate the complex landscape of the packaging industry. With an aggressive compensation plan, the sales executive can expect to double their salary and tripple it in year two.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Process & Territory:

• Cultivate new sales through networking, leveraging the company and board’s network, and digital marketing.
• Develop relationships with prospective accounts, close opportunities with prospects, and convert them into customers.
• Maintain and deliver continuous growth within existing accounts.
• Focus on the Chicagoland Area and the Midwest Region (IL, IN, WI, MI, MN, MO, OH) (Hybrid position)
• Drive growth within an existing base business with potential for 3-10% YOY growth and explore new business opportunities beyond the food packaging industry.

Sales Goals and Targets:

• Achieve $1-5MM in revenue in the first year.
• Demonstrate B2B sales expertise, including a sense of urgency when addressing customer inquiries and closing sales.
• Respond to web leads throughout the US, utilizing video meeting platforms and/or phone meetings to continue the sales process to closing.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 5-7 years of proven experience as a Sales Executive with specific industry experience selling packaging films and materials, including a track record of successfully managing the sales process in the packaging industry.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs.
• Familiarity with sustainability and environmental standards in packaging materials.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
