As they continue to grow, they are seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business.
Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional to join a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company. As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the daily transactional accounting activities and financial reporting, serving as a key business partner to the CEO and reporting directly to the corporate controller and broader C-Suite team. You will guide the payables and billing teams, lead the month-end close process, and help drive efficiency across the finance organization. Position Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of the month-end close process and preparation of the business unit financial package
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, GL functions, treasury functions, and liquidity management
- Supervise accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate vendor payment
- Supervise billing activities and maintain positive customer relationships
- Manage the company’s sales and use tax liabilities and payments
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting packages with key performance indicators, analyze account fluctuations and trends
- Work closely with other departments to assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash management
- Download updated sales tax rate files monthly and update systems as needed
- Review monthly sales tax uploads for completeness and accuracy
- Compile and send sales tax data reports to the external consultant for preparation of sales tax returns
- Assist in various ad-hoc projects as needed, including FP&A, ROI analysis, and IT system implementation or improvement
Position Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and cost accounting
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel
- Expertise in managing the general ledger and month-end close procedures
- Experience handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Self-starter with an extreme sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously
- Strong ability to manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across many assignments
