Director of Marketing

Our client is a fast growing AI platform serving large organizations, known internally for an elite, product obsessed culture that pushes every function to operate at the highest level of craft. With a growing inside sales team and strong outbound momentum already in motion, the company is now ready to invest seriously in the marketing engine that will fuel its next phase of growth. As they shift focus toward building a stronger inbound pipeline and establishing a real brand presence across digital channels, they are looking for a Director of Marketing to build that function from the ground up.

Position Overview

This is a true builder role for a marketing leader who wants to establish a function from scratch and see their fingerprints on every part of it. As the sole marketer in the organization, you will own the full strategy, from events and account based marketing to digital and paid media, working closely with sales leadership, the founders, and product to ensure marketing is deeply connected to how the business actually wins. You will be accountable for delivering qualified pipeline to a scaling inside sales team, giving your work immediate, visible impact on revenue. As the company grows, this role has the potential to evolve into building and leading a full marketing team, making this a rare opportunity to shape both a function and an organization at a foundational stage.

Position Responsibilities

Develop and execute a marketing strategy focused on shifting the pipeline mix toward higher quality inbound leads, while continuing to support outbound efforts

Deliver qualified pipeline to a growing inside sales team, with clear metrics tied to pipeline quality and conversion

Build and lead a modern events strategy, including trade shows, industry conferences, and networking opportunities where target customers are present

Establish and manage digital marketing and paid media efforts, an area currently untapped within the organization

Launch and manage a social media presence and content strategy, including organic content and channel specific expertise such as SEO and GEO

Apply best practices in account based marketing to target and engage key accounts

Partner closely with sales leadership, founders, and the product team to ensure marketing strategy reflects a deep understanding of customers and competitive positioning

Define and track metrics that meaningfully reflect marketing’s contribution to pipeline and business outcomes

Continuously refine strategy based on a clear, well reasoned theory of what drives results in this market

Position Qualifications

Required

A demonstrated, deeply articulated track record of understanding a customer base and market, including how positioning and channel strategy were developed and refined over time

3+ years of progressive marketing experience, with exposure to events, outbound marketing, and account based marketing, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge

Demonstrated mastery of at least one relevant marketing channel, such as SEO, GEO, paid social, or events, with a clear track record of results in that channel

A clear point of view on marketing strategy grounded in direct knowledge of customer behavior, rather than a reliance on testing as a substitute for insight

High energy and a strong personal identity tied to excellence in their craft

Ability to work fully in office in Austin, Texas, five days a week

Preferred

Experience marketing to similar industries or customer types

Experience building a marketing function from an early stage

Comfort working in a fast paced, founder led environment with high standards for process and quality
