Digital Performance Analyst
Performance Analytics Team | Chicago, IL | Hybrid (In Office Schedule) | Early Career
Company Overview
Our client is a performance marketing agency rewriting how brands invest in growth, replacing backward looking reporting with forecasting that predicts revenue before a single dollar is spent. Powered by more than three decades of performance first experience, over $100 million in media managed, and a proprietary AI powered predictive intelligence platform, the firm helps national brands plan, buy, and optimize across media, TV, and creative with a level of confidence few agencies can match. The team pairs the agility of an independent, privately held shop with analytical firepower usually found only at much larger organizations, and its culture rewards curiosity, critical thinking, and people who question the data rather than take it at face value. With a client retention rate north of 90 percent and an analytics practice at the center of its next chapter of growth, the company is looking for a Digital Performance Analyst to help turn complex cross channel data into the insights that keep clients ahead of their markets.
Position Overview
This is a rare early career opportunity to build deep analytics expertise fast, working shoulder to shoulder with the VP of Performance Analytics on the agency’s flagship account from day one. You will own the digital performance story for your accounts across paid search, paid social, programmatic, and streaming video, then grow into the cross channel and predictive measurement work, including attribution, incrementality, and marketing mix modeling, that powers the firm’s forecasting platform. It is a highly visible seat: your analysis will directly shape how multi million dollar media budgets are allocated, and your recommendations will be presented to clients and senior internal teams, giving you exposure and impact most analysts wait years to earn. As automation and AI take over routine reporting, this role is built for someone who wants to think, not just pull numbers, with a clear runway to become a cross channel and predictive measurement expert as the analytics practice scales.
Position Responsibilities
- Own the digital performance analysis and reporting for assigned accounts across Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads, and DV360 or other DSPs, contributing to the broader cross channel view.
- Build and QA dashboards for digital KPIs (CPA, ROAS, CTR, CVR, assisted conversions) and lead generation metrics such as leads, calls, and enrollments.
- Keep tracking and data integrity clean so the data feeding the predictive platform holds up, flagging quality issues and validating tracking with the media and web teams.
- Explore and validate data using SQL and AI assisted tools, applying judgment to question and confirm model outputs rather than accepting them at face value.
- Turn data into clear, client ready stories and recommendations, presenting credibly to clients and to internal media and account teams.
- Design and interpret audience, creative, landing page, and conversion tests.
- Support attribution and incrementality work, growing into TV, call tracking, and marketing mix modeling over time.
Position Qualifications
Required:
- A track record of turning data into insights and clear recommendations, ideally within a fast paced agency or client environment (strong internship experience counts).
- One to three years of experience in digital marketing analytics or business analytics.
- Hands on experience across the major ad platforms, Google Ads at minimum, plus exposure to Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, DV360, or other DSPs.
- Ability to build and QA dashboards in a modern BI tool (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI) and to explore and validate data with SQL and AI assisted tools.
- Familiarity with web analytics (GA4 or Adobe) and tag or pixel tracking (Google Tag Manager, Floodlight, Meta Pixel).
- Strong client facing communication, with the ability to translate data into clear stories for non technical audiences, plus the curiosity and critical thinking to question and validate AI and model outputs.
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship and able to work a hybrid schedule from the Chicago office.
Preferred:
- A digital media platform expert looking to move into analytics, for example someone who ran paid media at a smaller shop and built their own reporting.
- Interest in predictive, forward looking measurement such as marketing mix modeling, incrementality, and forecasting.
- Exposure to cross channel and offline measurement, including linear or connected TV and call tracking, plus A/B and landing page testing.
- Comfort using AI and agentic tools to speed analysis, with basic version control (Git) habits.
- An undergraduate degree in marketing, business analytics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent hands on experience.
