With three core business lines in supply chain consulting and procurement, branded products, and food boxes, the company partners with leading retailers, food service brands, and nonprofits to maximize the impact of every harvest. As the organization continues its impressive growth trajectory, it is seeking a Chief of Staff to join its leadership team and help drive strategic priorities forward.
This Chief of Staff position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with a visionary founder and CEO in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on translating big ideas into actionable plans and enjoys aligning cross-functional efforts. This highly visible position will allow the selected candidate to influence the direction of the organization and build a career at the intersection of strategy, operations, and mission-driven impact.
Responsibilities include
• Serving as a trusted partner to the CEO, helping to prioritize initiatives, manage timelines, and ensure follow-through on commitments
• Overseeing and coordinating a wide range of strategic and operational projects across the company’s three business lines
• Supporting post-sales implementation of new partnerships and initiatives, ensuring smooth handoffs to operations and account management teams
• Developing project plans, tracking milestones, and holding stakeholders accountable for deliverables
• Acting as a sounding board for the CEO’s ideas, refining and translating them into actionable strategies
• Preparing materials, pre-reads, and follow-ups for meetings, conferences, and speaking engagements
• Providing light support to the CEO’s executive assistant when needed including travel logistics and key communications
• Representing the CEO internally and externally as appropriate and maintaining momentum on thought leadership efforts
Qualifications include
• A track record of successfully managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in fast-changing environments
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting, project management, operations, or a Chief of Staff or strategic advisor role
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple work streams simultaneously
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with comfort interfacing with executives, partners, and cross-functional teams
• High energy, proactive mindset, and a passion for mission-driven work related to food systems, sustainability, or supply chains
• Flexibility to travel approximately 10 to 20 percent of the time and meet in person with the CEO near Chicago’s North Shore 2 to 3 days a week with a flexible hybrid schedule
