AVP, Integrated Brand Marketing

Company Overview

Our client is a Fortune 100 enterprise and one of the most recognized consumer and business services brands in the United States, serving customers nationwide through a broad portfolio of subscription-based services delivered across retail, digital, and partner channels. The brand holds a meaningful place in American culture through marquee national sports and entertainment properties, and leadership is focused on making it the clear favorite in its category while building customer relationships that last a lifetime. The organization values a culture that puts customers first, moves with urgency, rewards bold thinking, and expects leaders to build trust and help others succeed. As its category grows more competitive, the company is investing in how its brand comes to market and is seeking an AVP, Integrated Brand Marketing to unify brand marketing strategy across its marketing organization.

Position Overview

This is a rare opportunity to shape how one of the country’s most recognized brands comes to life in market. First, the role brings brand marketing strategy, master briefs, and platforms together under one integrated leader, giving the AVP the chance to define how the function operates and grows as it evolves. Second, the work sits at the center of the brand’s biggest storytelling moments, including flagship sponsorships, tentpole events, and signature brand programs that reach a national audience. Success in this role means shifting entrenched perceptions of a widely known national brand and turning neutral consumers into genuine advocates, experience few marketing leaders gain at this scale.

Position Responsibilities

  • Translate enterprise brand strategy, audience insight, cultural trends, and competitive realities into an integrated brand marketing strategy that guides how the brand shows up across marketing communications.
  • Develop master brand marketing briefs, platforms, and programs that marketing, creative, and activation teams build from, strengthening consistency, attribution, and salience across every touchpoint.
  • Own the brand marketing planning cycle and calendar, setting the objectives, priorities, and key moments that give marketing communications teams a shared foundation for their own plans.
  • Capitalize on cultural moments and emerging trends to strengthen brand relevance, generate earned media and buzz, and spark social momentum at national scale.
  • Build measurement frameworks that track brand health, campaign effectiveness, and ROI, partnering with analytics teams to show how brand marketing moves consumers from neutral to advocate and contributes to growth.
  • Lead and develop a team of brand marketers, setting clear expectations and growth paths, delegating effectively, and advising senior leadership as an influential voice for how brand marketing drives demand and long-term affinity.

Position Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven track record shifting entrenched perceptions and building salience for a widely known national brand, with measurable results in brand health, earned media, cultural relevance, and social engagement.
  • 15 or more years of progressive marketing leadership spanning enterprise brand marketing, integrated marketing, and go-to-market strategy, including brand leadership for a large, mass-market brand with national scale across multiple products, audiences, and channels.
  • Hands-on experience building and landing integrated campaigns, programs, partnerships, and tentpole moments from concept through activation, along with translating brand strategy, audience insight, and cultural truths into briefs and platforms that other teams execute against.
  • Strong command of brand health metrics, campaign effectiveness, and marketing measurement, with experience managing large marketing budgets and connecting brand investment to business outcomes.
  • History of building high-performing marketing teams through delegation and empowerment, paired with the executive presence and storytelling skills to influence senior leadership.

Preferred:

  • Experience in subscription or recurring-revenue businesses, or in intangible-service categories where trust is central, such as financial services, insurance, payments, or mobility.
  • Fluency marketing to consumer and business audiences under a single masterbrand, including multicultural and generationally diverse audiences, regional market nuances, and large agency and holding-company ecosystems.
