Shawna is known for listening to a client’s pain points and hiring challenges to identify high quality and aligned talent. Due to her targeted research, understanding of client needs, and networking, Shawna frequently is able to fill roles in less than 5 candidate submissions, allowing her clients to save valuable time. She also excels in project management, keeping all stakeholders engaged and updated throughout the process through her strong communication skills.
Shawna joined Talentfoot after almost two decades of experience in education. As someone who will always be a teacher at heart, she enjoys educating clients on market insights and preparing candidates extensively for interviews. Shawna’s goal is always to make clients feel confident in their hiring decisions based on the information she is providing and to make candidates feel confident in interviews because of her support. Although Shawna has a variety of clients across many industries throughout the country, she has a soft spot for small businesses, women-lead businesses, and companies based in Florida and her local community.
A lifelong Floridian, Shawna and her husband met in college at The University of Florida and have called the Tampa Bay area their home since 2005. They have 2 very active sons and spend most weekends attending youth sports. Shawna is also a published writer and blogger and a board member of a local nonprofit that supports teachers. Shawna is a career changer and a strong believer that it’s never too late to learn, grow and change.
